I am writing to you regarding the excessive noise and vibrations from the Brussels metro, acknowledged by the Minister and endured daily by residents for more than four years.

Although STIB has announced the production of new wheels and their progressive replacement, the date for a noticeable improvement remains unclear and distant. In the meantime, it is essential to adopt strengthened measures immediately to reduce noise and vibrations and to relieve residents.

We are seeking your parliamentary oversight to obtain:

- Immediate and strengthened measures to effectively reduce noise and vibrations in the meantime
- Lasting and preventive guarantees to avoid any recurrence
- Transparent communication to restore trust and improve the living environment of the affected neighbourhoods.
